Repox ensures robust security through a combination of Access Control Lists (ACLs) and blockchain-based integrity verification using KSI. ACLs provide fine-grained control over access to containers and datastreams, allowing permissions to be assigned to individual users or user groups. These permissions can be applied to specific containers or recursively inherited by child containers and datastreams, ensuring consistent and hierarchical access management. Complementing ACLs, Repox integrates blockchain technology through KSI, which guarantees data integrity by providing immutable, verifiable proof of all actions performed on datastreams and metadata. This dual-layered approach to security protects sensitive data, ensures compliance with data governance requirements, and provides transparency and trust for users managing critical collections and information.
