Repox Store
Repox Store is a solution for managing content and its metadata. It can be used as a digital repository system. The data is stored either on local servers or in the cloud. The content is organized hierarchically in a structure reminiscent of the directories/folders in a standard file system or a cloud-based data storage solution (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive). Unlike typical applications, Repox Store supports a dynamic data model and can support richer metadata about a directory and its contents. Content organization in a traditional digital repository is done through collections, which can have metadata. A collection record contains multiple files and descriptive metadata. The usual steps followed are:
- The creation of the collection.
- Add an item to the collection.
- Completing its metadata.
- Upload the accompanying files.
Content management in Repox Store differs from the above logic, and in a typical scenario, the steps followed are:
- Create a data model.
- Enforcing the data model into a hierarchical structure.
- Each entity could have metadata that is part of the model.
