Repox Store

Repox Store

Repox Store is a solution for managing content and its metadata. It can be used as a digital repository system. The data is stored either on local servers or in the cloud. The content is organized hierarchically in a structure reminiscent of the directories/folders in a standard file system or a cloud-based data storage solution (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive). Unlike typical applications, Repox Store supports a dynamic data model and can support richer metadata about a directory and its contents. Content organization in a traditional digital repository is done through collections, which can have metadata. A collection record contains multiple files and descriptive metadata. The usual steps followed are:

  1. The creation of the collection.
  2. Add an item to the collection.
  3. Completing its metadata.
  4. Upload the accompanying files.

Content management in Repox Store differs from the above logic, and in a typical scenario, the steps followed are:

  1. Create a data model.
  2. Enforcing the data model into a hierarchical structure.
  3. Each entity could have metadata that is part of the model.
