The Collabora Integration in Repox platform allows users to collaboratively edit documents in real-time. This integration provides seamless collaboration, enabling multiple users to work on the same document simultaneously, and ensuring that all changes are saved as new versions of the file.

By enabling Collabora (opens in a new tab) integration, you can open supported documents directly in the Collabora editor, allowing for an efficient, interactive editing experience. The system utilizes the WOPI protocol (Web Application Open Platform Interface) to communicate between your system and Collabora, ensuring smooth operation.

Configuring Collabora Integration

  1. Access System Settings: Navigate to the System Settings section in your product.
  2. Enable Collabora Integration:
  • Toggle the Collabora Integration setting to Enable.
  1. Configure Editing Options:
  • Enable Editing: Decide whether Collabora editing should be enabled for supported documents, or if the documents should be opened in read-only mode.
  1. Set Supported MIME Types: Specify the MIME types (file formats) that will be opened with Collabora. Common supported formats include DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and ODT. You can configure this list based on the types of documents your users typically work with.
  2. Save Settings: After configuring the options, save your settings to enable the Collabora integration.

How It Works

  • Document Opening: When a user selects a supported document, it will open directly in the Collabora editor via the WOPI protocol, either in editable or read-only mode based on your configuration.
  • Real-Time Editing: As users make changes to the document, all collaborators will see the updates live.
  • Version Control: Each save action generates a new version of the file. All versions are tracked and stored in the file’s history section.
